Atlético Madrid skipper Maxi Rodríguez insists he is happy to stay at the club amid reported interest from Tottenham Hotspur.
The 28-year-old is believed to be one of Harry Redknapp’s top targets this summer as the Spurs boss seeks to overhaul his squad.
But Maxi, whose current deal with Los Rojiblancos expires in 2010, claims he is happy to stay at the Vicente Calderón.
"We will have to see how everything goes," he told Marca when asked about a possible exit.
"I still have a year with Atlético but you have to see what happens.
"I am very, very happy here. When I arrive for pre-season I will do want the club wants me to.
"I do not care about the rumours regarding my possible exit. I am confident in my position and I am going to play."
