Former Ballon d’Or and FIFA World Player of the Year winner Kaká believes that Lionel Messi will win all the prestigious awards in 2009.
Messi played a key role as Barcelona became the first Spanish side to win the treble of La Liga, Copa del Rey and Champions League in what was a remarkable first campaign for new coach Pep Guardiola.
"I think Messi will win both the Ballon d’Or and the FIFA World Player of the Year title," Kaká told L'Équipe.
"It would be very difficult to beat him this year. He won the Champions League, which is the main booster."
