Inter Milan boss José Mourinho admits he would "be very happy to work with Deco again".
The two rose to fame at FC Porto when they won the UEFA Cup and Champions League in back to back seasons in 2003 and 2004, but Deco has struggled for form at Chelsea recently.
The Brazilian-born midfielder recently stated that he was unhappy at Stamford Bridge and wanted to leave in the summer.
And Mourinho has now intensified the rumours by claiming he would welcome the chance to be reunited with the ex-Barcelona star.
He told Portuguese news agency Lusa: "I would be very happy to work with Deco again.
"I remember the good moments we had together, the good work we did and the victories we obtained.
"I helped Deco grow, but it was with players like him that I became the coach I am now.
"If it is possible for him to come to Inter and for us to work together again it would be something wonderful for both of us."
