AC Milan are still looking for a way to finally land VfL Wolfsburg striker Edin Džeko.
The Bosnian hitman has been their No 1 transfer target since the season ended last month.
Džeko himself has told the press it would be a dream to move to Milan, but Wolfsburg insisted the 23-year-old is indispensable for the club.
"There's nothing more to say. He is a player that interests us very much," Milan vice-president Adriano Galliani explained to Sky Sport 24. "I am talking with Wolfsburg and I think there is a possibility.
"We hope to conclude that transfer, but if not we will find another goalscorer.
"After that, Milan will conclude their transfer campaign by buying a central defender."
