Oliver Kahn says no to Schalke

Former Germany and Bayern Munich goalkeeper Oliver Kahn has declined an offer from Schalke to take the vacant general manager's job at the Veltins Arena.
Kahn, who retired following a stellar career last May, had been tipped to become the successor to Andreas Müller, who was dismissed earlier this month in response to a disappointing season.
The 39-year-old had held talks with Schalke chairman Clemens Tonnies, but has now revealed it was not the right time to take up the position.
He told Kicker magazine: "I would have loved to have done it, but the offer came six months too early.
"Schalke needs a manager who can offer it 100 percent of his time, but I can't do that."
Kahn has recently been in Asia promoting his various interests and has also appeared as an expert on ZDF.
