AC Milan midfielder Gennaro Gattuso is willing to take a cut in salary if the club asked him to do so because of the world financial crisis.
With the global financial crisis taking effect, clubs are having to act more prudently, and Milan vice-president Adriano Galliani revealed on Wednesday that he believes there will be few cash transfers this summer.
Gattuso, who has been at the Rossoneri for 10 years, insists he is ready to sacrifice part of his own earnings for the sake of the club.
"In a period like this I'm in favour of a possible reduction in salary," he stated in the club's official website.
"I already talked about it with Galliani. If the club asks me for a reduction I would be ready."
