Chelsea midfielder Michael Ballack has declared that he wants to see out the rest of his career in London.
Speculation linking the 32-year-old for a return to Bayern Munich have been gathering steam, especially considering that Ballack could be a free agent in the summer depending on whether a one-year extension on his current contract is exercised.
Ballack's one-year extension to his contract needs to be activated by both parties in June, and the Germany captain is eager to see that happen.
"I expect to be back next season and maybe even a few more years after that as well," he said after Chelsea's 2-2 draw with Juventus in the last 16 of the Champions League.
"I’ve always said I can imagine finishing my career at Chelsea and, right now, I think I will remain here."
