Arjen Robben on Rafa Benítez radar
Table of Contents
Liverpool boss Rafa Benítez is apparently interested in the signing of Real Madrid winger Arjen Robben.
Having recently signed a new deal at the club, the Spaniard is believed to be looking at the future and already plans his summer spending.
Spanish newspaper Marca, citing English sources, claim that his top priority is Robben, who has been outstanding for Los Merengues this season.
Whilst he has struggled with injuries, Robben, who joined the Spanish giants from Chelsea for €36 million in 2007, could be the natural winger that Benítez is after.
According to the Daily Star, Benítez will have around £30 million to spend next summer and he would not mind spend around £20 million for the Dutch international.
But Robben leaving the Bernabéu is very unlikely as Real would be foolhardy to sell one of their best players when he is in sparkling form.
