Raúl González joined Alfredo di Stéfano as Real Madrid's all-time leading scorer with a second-half goal in his side's 2-0 win at lowly Numancia.
The 31-year-old striker netted his 307th goal in his 15th season with Los Blancos, where he has spent his entire professional career.
Numancia controlled the first half with Javier del Pino beating Iker Casillas with a header in the 27th only for the ball to crash back off the right post.
Real came alive in the second half and they broke the deadlock just three minutes after the interval as Raúl was perfectly placed in front of goal to slot home the rebound after Gonzalo Higuain's shot had been parried.
Numancia fell further behind on 56 minutes when Arjen Robben scored from a quick free kick, exchanging a short pass with Raúl before slaloming in between Numancia's defence to send a low shot into the bottom left corner.
The visitors played out the last 11 minutes with 10 men after Fernando Gago was dismissed for second bookable offenses, while Raúl came off with six minutes to play and received congratulations from his teammates.
Elsewhere, Athletic Bilbao twice rallied to beat Málaga 3-2 at San Mames.
