Andrei Arshavin has finally signed a deal with Arsenal after more than a month of negotiations.

The Russian forward completed the move on the final day of the transfer window, signing a deal that will keep him at the Emirates until 2012 with The Sun reporting that the fee will be in the region of £15 million.

That fee would be substantially lower than the £20 million that Zenit were believed to be demanding from the Gunners.

It had been announced earlier that the deal had stalled due to the clubs failing to reach an agreement. But while the clubs negotiated the deal, Arshavin flew to London to have medical checks.

"The deal was signed for 3 1/2 years and the financial details will be disclosed tomorrow," Zenit spokesman Alexei Petrov said.

Arshavin pushed for a transfer after an impressive Euro 2008 campaign last year, when he helped guide Russia into the semifinals.

Negotiations with Arsenal's North London rival, Tottenham, in the summer broke down over the price tag.
