Mario Gómez has ruled out a possible move to Bayern Munich this summer as he expects to stay at VfB Stuttgart beyond the season.
The Germany international was reported to be on the verge of a move to the Bundesliga champions after Euro 2008, with Bayern allegedly ready to splash out more than €20 million for the striker.
But the transfer never materialised and and Gómez is now prepared to continue his development at Stuttgart.
Asked in an interview with the Stuttgarter Zeitung where he would be playing next season, he said: "At Stuttgart, I think.
"Here is the only place I have a contract, and where you have a contract is where you play, isn't it?
"I don't know what will happen in the summer. I only know that I feel very good here and VfB don't want to give me up."
Gómez, who is under contract at Stuttgart until 2012, won the 2007 Bundesliga title with Die Schwaben and has scored 46 goals in 105 league matches.
