Benfica have completed the signing of José Antonio Reyes on a permanent basis after the club agreed to pay Atlético Madrid €8 million for his services.
The winger joined Benfica on a season-long loan deal in the summer and has now penned a contract that will keep him with the Portuguese side for another four years.
Mariano Aguilar, the player's representative, said: "The player is very happy to have signed.
"He feels at home in Lisbon, that's why he wants to continue. They have treated him wonderfully from the first minute he arrived."
After moving from Spain to England, then back to Spain, it finally seems like the 25-year-old has found somewhere to settle.
Reyes started his career at Sevilla, before making a €20 million move to England to join Arsenal.
The Spaniard found himself hard to settle in London, though, and he moved back to Spain, joining Real Madrid and then neighbours Atlético, before finally ending up in Portugal.
