Barcelona star Xavi has revealed his desire to stay at the club for the rest of his career.
The 28-year-old, who joined Barça aged 11, is currently in negotiations over a new contract, with his current deal set to expire in June 2010.
"I'm sure we'll reach an agreement because it's what both parties want," he told the club's website.
He continued: "I've always said I want to carry on playing here. My dream is to retire at Barça.
"I've always felt very calm here and highly valued by the club. At no point have they ever said they were thinking of selling me."
Xavi's comments come after coach Pep Guardiola labelled the player "impossible to transfer", while president Joan Laporta has also praised his recent performances.
