Deschamps for the Blues?

Chelsea are hunting for a replacement following the sacking of Avram Grant on Saturday.

Former Juventus manager Didier Deschamps announced his interest for the position. He claims he is on a four-man short-list to replace Grant.

Deschamps played for Chelsea in the 1999/2000 season and was part of the France team that won 1998 World Cup and 2000 European Championship.

As a manager he took Monaco to the 2004 Champions League final but they were lost to FC Porto.

Then he bring Juventus back to Serie A after they had been relegated following the Calciopoli scandal.

But then he resigned in May 2007 and currently without a club right now.

Frank Rijkaard, who is currently unemployed right now, is the early favourite to become the new boss.

He endorsed by Chelsea's chief scout and head of youth development, Frank Arnesen.

Blackburn manager Mark Hughes, who supported by the chief executive, Peter Kenyon, also considered for the job.

While Manchester City manager Sven-Goran Eriksson linked for the Stamford Bridge post as well.
