The father of Siena goalkeeper Eugenio Lamanna has been banned from stadiums after punching a fan who insulted his son.
According to Football Italia, the bizarre incident occurred in the stands at the end of Thursday's Serie B game, which saw Spezia beat Siena 1-0.
Lamanna's parents were cheering on their son, but a Spezia supporter named Alessandro Botti started to criticise the 24-year-old's performance.
This irritated his mother and infuriated the father, who after a brief argument punched Botti in the face.
Cosma Lamanna has been given a Daspo - the Italian version of an ASBO - banning him from attending any sporting events.
