Iago Falqué scored stunning solo efforts for the opening and closing goals of Rayo Vallecano's 4-1 home win over Málaga on Saturday evening.
Falqué, on loan this season from Tottenham Hotspur, broke the deadlock in the 24th minute with a fine individual goal.
After picking up possession tight on the right hand touchline, the 24-year-old winger embarked on a mazy run.
Falqué drove into the Málaga box, beat two players with identical nutmegs before brilliantly rolling his effort into the bottom corner of Willy Caballero's goal.
Anaitz Arbilla added a second just a minute later and after Sergio Sánchez picked up his second yellow card on the stroke of half-time, Joaquín Larrivey slotted in the resulting penalty.
Rayo then coasted to victory, with Falqué scoring another impressive goal just after the hour mark.
Marcos Angeleri failed to properly clear the ball on the right wing and it was picked up by Nacho, who played in Larrivey.
The forward then passed the ball to Falqué, and the former Barcelona youngster nutmegged a defender before striking the ball towards the bottom corner.
And although Ukrainian forward Oleksandr Yakovenko pulled one back for the visitors, it proved to be too little too late for them.
"Beyond the goals, Iago defended well, attacked, he was a reference point and worked hard," Rayo coach Paco Jémez said in his post-match press conference.
"When he's had to come up big he's done it and hopefully we can all give a little more because this will be a moment where the team starts to grow."
