Backheel Own Golazo! Nicolas Höfler (Freiburg) vs Schalke

An unfortunate Nicolas Höfler own goal set Freiburg to their fifth defeat in a row with a 2-0 loss at Schalke 04 on Sunday.
Freiburg made a bright start to the game with the hosts having a certain degree of difficulty getting their own game going.
However, Schalke took the lead just before the interval with more than just a touch of fortune about it.
A corner from Jefferson Farfan from the left made its way past all of the blue shirts inside the six-yard box.
But there was still Höfler, who was not under any pressure at the far post, and the luckless Freiburg midfielder diverted the ball in with his heel.
Farfan added a second from the penalty spot on 67 minutes after Max Meyer had been brought down by Felix Klaus inside the box.
"These unfortunate incidents, such as the opening goal today, have been happening to us all season" said Freiburg defender Matthias Ginter after the game.
