Football stand collapsed at football match in India

A horrific accident was occurred last weekend as a whole football stand collapsed just before a football match in Bekal, India.
The disastrous incident happened just before the start of the opening match of the tournament between Saban Kottakkal and Mohammadans Mouval while a boy entertaining the crowd with keepy-uppies.
All of a sudden the stand behind one of goals collapsed and hundreds of fans came crashing down the earth.
More than 100 fans were rushed to hospitals in Mangalore and surrounding areas, and six people are in a serious condition.
According to reports, the stand was made up of wooden planks and iron rods. Moreover, the heavy rain that hit the area over the weekend had made the wood moist.
The Bekal police have since opened a criminal case against the organisers with safety requirements alleged to have been breached.
