Burnley mascot sent off & 'jailed' for trolling linesman

A Championship game between Burnley and Queens Park Rangers on Saturday saw one of the most bizarre sendings off ever witnessed on a football field.
Burnley beat QPR 2-0 at Turf Moor to consolidate their place at the top of the Championship table, but the bigger story from the match was a bizarre red card shown to Burnley mascot Bertie Bee.
Bertie was shown his marching orders in the first half after he comically handed the linesman his oversized glasses following a dodgy decision.
But referee Simon Hooper failed to see the funny side and sent the mascot back to the changing room.
The Clarets then posted a photo of Bertie thinking about the consequences of his actions in a locked up cell.
