Northampton player scores own goal Golazo on debut

Mathias Kouo-Doumbé had a nightmare on his Northampton Town debut last weekend when he somehow managed to score a spectacular 30-yard volley own-goal.
The 33-year-old French defender made his first appearance for Northampton in a 3-0 trouncing at Mansfield Town on Saturday.
But Kouo-Doumbé had a bad day at the office for the Cobblers as he gave away the free-kick that led to Mansfield's first goal before he put through his own net in bizarre circumstances.
Attempting to clear a long ball forward from Mansfield 35 yards out, he spectacularly miscued and diverted the ball up and over his own goalkeeper Matt Duke.
"I didn't want to take any chances," Kouo-Doumbé told the local press.
"I tried to clear it for a throw in, because I wasn't sure where the striker was and whether he was close to me or not. It's not a dream debut I was looking for."
