Luis Suárez returned to training alongside his Liverpool teammates on Friday after apologising for his outspoken comments in demanding a transfer last week.
The 26-year-old had been frozen out of first-team sessions following an interview he gave last week accusing Liverpool of going back on a promise to let him leave Anfield.
The Reds had demanded an apology from Suárez, whilst the Uruguayan had begun back-pedalling on his demands to leave in recent days.
And Suárez has now apologised for his comments, prompting Liverpool manager Brendan Rodgers to restore the forward to training at Melwood on Friday.
"It is obviously a huge boost. He is a world-class player and you have got to try and keep your best players," Liverpool teammate Jordan Henderson told Sky Sports.
"We look forward to the new season and hopefully he can pick up from where he left off."
