Table of Contents
An outrageous goal from James Husband ensured Doncaster Rovers a 2-0 victory over Blackburn Rovers at the Keepmoat Stadium on Friday.
Debutant Theo Robinson gave the home side a first half lead when he headed home David Cotterill's 36th minute free-kick.
Blackburn were hit with a sucker-punch just before the hour mark as Doncaster were the recipients of an outrageous stroke of luck.
A free-kick to the hosts on their left halfway into the Blackburn half put Husband away on the overlap.
The left-back aimed a cross towards the middle of Blackburn box but over-hit it, sending the ball sailing over the head of Jake Kean and into the back of the net.
"The second goal is either an outstanding shot or a fluke," Blackburn manager Gary Bowyer said afterwards.
