New Kilmarnock signing Barry Nicholson scored a thunderbolt on his 35th birthday during their 2-1 defeat to Hibernian at Rugby Park on Saturday.
There was little to trouble either goalkeeper until Kilmarnock took the lead in spectacular fashion in the 22nd minute.
There appeared to be little danger as Mark Stewart headed Jackson Irvine's long ball down for Nicholson 25 yards out.
But the midfielder met the ball on the volley to hammer in a shot which exploded into the top corner of Ben Williams' net with the goalkeeper totally helpless.
Liam Craig nodded Hibs level just 90 seconds after the interval before before the same player popped up ten minutes from time to to lob goalkeeper Craig Samson and earn Hibs a precious win.
"An unbelievable finish, he took it really well. He's capable of that," Kilmarnock manager Allan Johnston said of Nicholson's opener.
