The visitors came out from the opening whistle and took the advantage in the seventh minute on Bowen's score.

Carlos Álvarez advanced the ball down the middle of the attacking third and passed it off to Bowen on the right wing.

With Jordan Harvey backing up instead of closing him out, Bowen advanced to the top of the box and unleashed a high sinking strike that sailed over Brad Knighton and into the net.

But two goals in first-half added time started the comeback as Harvey and Camilo Sanvezzo scored two minutes apart to give Vancouver lead, with the latter scoring his second in the 81st minute to seal the win.

"The ball got switched over, Carlos was overlapping me which gave the defender a little bit of uncertainty, so I cut inside and I took a shot," Bowen commented on his goal afterwards.

"I'm not sure if it got deflected but it went over the goalkeeper into the net."

Vancouver coach Martin Rennie added: "It was a little bit of a freak goal. The ball really spun and dipped and went in in the only place it could have gone in."
