Barcelona winger Alexis Sánchez crashed his car in the early hours of Thursday morning, but was able to walk away from the incident, which involved no other vehicles.
According to Marca, Alexis was returning home from Barcelona's Copa Catalunya Cup win over Espanyol when his car left the road along a motorway.
It is alleged that the 24-year-old lost control of his Audi R8 - for reasons that have yet to be determined, although all evidence seems to suggest he was speeding - and crashed into the traffic barrier.
The Chile international then phoned a teammate to pick him up and left the car, whilst a passing driver reported having seen the accident and the crashed car's driver leaving the scene.
Reports are that police traced the car back to Alexis and visited him on the following afternoon, where he allegedly confirmed the accident.
