Darren Barr gave Hearts the lead against the run of play in the dying moments of the first half before Hibernian turned the fixture on its head with two fantastic goals.

Griffiths, who was famously denied a brilliant free-kick goal by the officials in the Edinburgh derby at Easter Road earlier in the season, drew Hibs level in stunning fashion just three minutes after the interval.

Mehdi Taouil's foul on Alex Harris gave Griffiths the chance to test Jamie MacDonald from fully 30 yards.

And the 22-year-old striker sent a sensational effort soaring into the top corner of the net with MacDonald grasping at thin air.

It was a stunning 100th goal of his career and 28th of an incredible season from the PFA Young Player of the Year.

Ross Caldwell then struck at the death to break Hearts in front of their own fans.
