Amauri scores Rivaldo-esque bicycle-kick goal vs Pescara
Table of Contents
An absolutely sensational Amauri bicycle kick was the jewel of Parma's 3-0 win over relegation-bound Pescara at the Stadio Ennio Tardini on Saturday.
When these sides met in November, Pescara emerged with a shock 2-0 victory, but the Delfini had amassed only one point and four goals from their last 10 games.
The home side took the lead inside 20 minutes through a Yohan Benalouane header before Gabriel Paletta scored his first goal of the season in the 52nd minute to make it 2-0.
The third goal arrived on 65 minutes and in an extraordinary way.
Amauri chested a long ball down with his back to goal, and held off a defender to perform a spectacular bicycle kick that flew under the bar, leaving Ivan Pelizzoli rooted to the spot.
It was a golazo that brought to mind Rivaldo's bicycle kick against Valencia for Barcelona in 2001.
