Papiss Cissé goes all 'Ketsbaia' with advertising hoarding assault celebration
Table of Contents
Papiss Demba Cissé headed Newcastle United into last eight of the Europa League on Thursday night - then pulled out arguably the most famous celebration ever seen at St James' Park.
The Senegalese striker converted a right wing cross from Sylvain Marveaux with the last touch of the game to give the Magpies a 1-0 aggregrate victory against Russian outfit Anzhi Makhachkala.
Cissé was so enamored with his goal that he lost the plot, lashing out at an advertising hoarding behind the goal - just as former Newcastle player Temuri Ketsbaia had done after scoring a late winner against Bolton Wanderers in 1998.
The Georgian whipped off his shirt before kicking two advertising hoardings bearing the logos of McDonald's and adidas.
Below is the original Ketsbaia's effort.
