Mario Balotelli has caused controversy many times in his career, but admits he has just one huge regret.
The forward is a man of few words, but sat down with the media on Sunday at the Coverciano training ground ahead of Italy's World Cup qualifier with Malta next Tuesday.
"In my life I would only avoid doing one thing again," said Balotelli. "I wouldn't have thrown the Inter (Milan) jersey to the ground."
The incident occurred at the final whistle of a Champions League semifinal against Barcelona in 2010 when the madcap forward took off the shirt and threw it to the ground as he walked off the pitch.
This caused public outrage among Inter fans and his teammates with reports Marco Materazzi had pinned him to the locker room wall afterwards.
He was eventually sold to Manchester City that summer.
