Wolfsburg come up trumps in golazo-fest at Freiburg

VfL Wolfsburg hit five in a veritable golazo-fest away to Freiburg to take all three points away on Saturday.
Max Kruse put the hosts in front after just 90 seconds when he bent an unstoppable effort beyond the reach of the despairing Diego Benaglio, but an own goal from Cédric Makiadi soon had the Wolves back on level terms.
Wolfsburg were in the ascendancy and Vieirinha gave them the lead with a real candidate for goal of the season in the 16th minute.
Matthias Ginter cleared a cross from Diego but only as far as Vieirinha, who caught the ball on the volley from 18 meters out and hammered his shot into the top corner.
As stunning as that goal was, six minutes later, Ivica Olić topped the effort as he executed a perfect overhead kick from a Ricardo Rodríguez cross to give the guests a 3-1 lead which they would take into the break.
Olić's second gave Dieter Hecking's side an even more comfortable lead after the break before Johannes Flum scored a second for the home team with 18 minutes remaining.
However, that goal proved nothing but a consolation for the hosts as Diego added a fifth with the last kick of the game.
