Goal of the day: Rob Hulse (Millwall) vs Luton
Table of Contents
An amazing acrobatic goal from on-loan striker Rob Hulse led Millwall to a comfortable 3-0 FA Cup win at Luton Town on Saturday.
Millwall broke the deadlock on 12 minutes through James Henry after a mix-up in the Luton defense.
The Championship side, who had won their last 13 ties against lower league teams, doubled their lead in the 36th minute.
Henry wriggled free down the right before posting up a teasing cross towards the far post, where Hulse headed the ball up in the air under pressure from Luton defender Greg Taylor.
But instead of allowing the ball to drop, he swung a leg at it in midair over his shoulder to produce an unconventional looking overhead kick that looped up perfectly into the corner of the net.
It was his first goal since signing from Queens Park Rangers on loan.
Substitute Dany N'Guessan made sure of the win for the Lions five minutes from time.
