A young Manchester United hopeful was picked up by police in the early hours of Monday after being caught having sex with a teenage girl in a public square in the middle of Liverpool.
Luke McCullough, 18, was seen on CCTV with the woman, 19, at 5am on Monday following a night out in Merseyside.
Police told the Northern Ireland U-17 captain and his blonde friend to move on after finding them semi-clothed.
The couple did their clothes up and walked away but just a few yards away their passion got the better of them and and they found another doorway where they carried on their fling.
At this point McCullough and his friend were approached again, this time being taken into custody.
The Academy team captain, who has been compared to Red Devil Jonny Evans, was held in police cells for several hours before being issued with a caution and sent home. The unnamed woman also received a warning.
A police source told the ECHO: "It seemed they just couldn't help themselves. They were told to move on but couldn't keep their hands off each other and there was no choice but to take them in."
The incident in Concert Square, a popular bar and restaurant district of Liverpool, will surely infuriate the club's manager Sir Alex Ferguson.
