Tiago's late thunderbolt put the gloss on an excellent 4-0 win for Atlético Madrid against Athletic Bilbao at the Vicente Calderón.
Colombian striker Radamel Falcao opened the scoring with a brilliant individual effort on 19 minutes before doubling the lead three minutes before half-time with an acrobatic finish.
Falcao completed his hat-trick from the penalty spot just shy of the hour mark after Carlos Gurpegui was penalised for handball.
And the rout was completed six minutes from time through substitute Tiago, who had replaced Falcao moments earlier.
After a good play from fellow substitute Diego Costa, the ball broke to Tiago, who rifled the ball into the top corner with a superbly taken first time effort.
