Cristiano Ronaldo and Castrol EDGE are calling on fans everywhere to take part in a live-streamed football challenge against fans through Facebook on Thursday 17th May.
Last year, Castrol EDGE presented "Cristiano Ronaldo: Tested to the Limit", an award-winning documentary that showed the Real Madrid superstar undertaking a series of challenges while under scientific examination.
With almost 9 months passed since the documentary got released, Castrol and Ronaldo are now up for a new challenge, this time celebrate the release of the film for free on iTunes (Link).
This Thursday, the Portuguese star will participate in a new game/experience that is going to be streamed live on Facebook.
#RonaldoLIVE will be the world's first interactive football challenge streamed live through Facebook from a state-of-the-art testing facility in Madrid.
In order to participate in this game, you should sign up on Castrol's Facebook application - #RonaldoLIVE (Link), since that's where everyone will be able to follow the streaming being broadcasted live and obviously, where Ronaldo will appear.
What happens next, is that only the first 100.000 fans connectting to the application will be elected as valid candidates for a few random picks made by Castrol.
Those lucky picks will then take part in the live action, by selecting Ronaldo’s target and choosing the goals that he must shoot into.
The game itself will consist on balls being thrown at Ronaldo from the air, but one at time and at specific intervals.
Ronaldo will then have to collect/receive the balls as fast as possible and fire them at the targets that the fans will be picking.
All the action will be streamed live on both Castrol EDGE and Ronaldo's Facebook pages.
For fans that miss out on the live action, a mini-film will be released online next week on May 23rd on Castrol EDGE's YouTube channel.
