Sergio Agüero inspired Manchester City to a comfortable 4-0 victory over West Bromwich Albion at the Eithad Stadium.
The 23-year-old Argentinian opened the scoring in just the sixth minute and doubled the hosts' advantage shortly after the interval.
Agüero turned provider seven minutes later, playing a square ball into the penalty area that was finished with aplomb by Carlos Tévez.
Tevez was withdrawn soon after, but Aguero continued his powerful display and put David Silva through on goal on 64 minutes, with the Spaniard chipping his finish over the onrushing Ben Foster.
