Cristiano Ronaldo scored a hat-trick that included a spectacular free-kick as Real Madrid beat Atlético Madrid 4-1 at the Vicente Calderón on Wednesday.
Atlético made a bright start to the match, and put their rivals under heavy pressure through high tempo pressing of the ball, which left the Madrid players slightly shaken.

Things livened up after the break when Radamel Falcao equalised for Atlético, but José Mourinho's men responded positively with Ronaldo wrapping up his treble before José Callejón adding the fourth a couple of minutes from time to seal a comfortable win for the league leaders.
