Goal of the day: Mirko Vučinić (Juventus) vs AC Milan
Table of Contents
Mirko Vučinić scored a stunning extra-time goal to send Juventus into their first Coppa Italia final since 2004 following a 2-2 home draw with AC Milan on Tuesday.
Holding a 2-1 lead from the first leg, the Bianconeri were boosted by an Alessandro Del Piero goal in the first half, but goals after the break from Djamel Mesbah and Maxi López took the tie into extra-time.
But six minutes into the first-period of extra time, Vučinić put Juventus back in front on aggregate with an absolute blockbuster.
The Montenegro striker gathered 30 yards from goal and smashed the right-foot screamer into the far top corner past Marco Amelia's flailing hand.
"Every now and again I can score these types of goals," Vučinić told the Juventus website. "Fortunately it went in this time."
