Goal of the day: Michel Bastos (Lyon) vs PSG
Table of Contents
Brazil winger Michel Bastos scored a cracker as Olympique Lyon and Paris St Germain battled to a sensational 4-4 draw at the Stade de Gerland.
PSG went ahead after 21 minutes when Guillaume Hoarau slotted the ball past Hugo Lloris from a Jérémy Ménez free kick.
But Lyon responded with a sensational three-goal salvo that turned the game in their favour in the space of just six minutes.
Bafétimbi Gomis equalised with a crashing back-post volley in the 34th minute before Lisandro López met Bastos' right-wing cross with a magnificently accomplished half-volley to put the hosts ahead.
And the hosts weren't finished yet with Bastos scoring an even better goal to make it 3-1 for the hosts.
Kim Källström's corner was cleared by Thiago Motta but only as far as Bastos, who lashed a screaming left-footed volley into the top-left corner from the edge of the area.
Nenê converted a penalty on the stroke of half-time to bring PSG back to 3-2, but Jimmy Briand put the hosts further clear early in the second half.
However, Ceará narrowed the gap once more and, with full-time fast approaching, Hoarau timed it to perfection to score a dramatic equaliser.
