Two Iran players have been banned indefinitely from even entering any stadium in the country for committing "immoral acts" during goal celebrations.
The incidents, condemned by officials and commentators alike, took place during a league match between Persepolis and Damash Gilan last Saturday.
After Persepolis went 1-0 up, Mohammed Nosrati appeared to squeeze Sheis Rezaei's backside while the Tehran team's players celebrated.
And when Persepolis scored again in the 3-2 victory, YouTube footage appears to show Rezaei squeezing an unidentified teammate.
The two have also been suspended by Persepolis, a popular club financed by the government, and have to pay a fine of 500 million rials each.
Nosrati and Rezaei have been quick to protest their innocence, but reports from Iran suggest they are under further investigation and could face a lengthy ban.
Saturday's game was broadcast live to a large football-mad audience in the Islamic Republic that for years has tried to curb rowdy on-field behavior and foul language by players and spectators.
