Manchester City beat Wolverhampton Wanderers 3-1 on home soil to remain top of the Premier League table but were made to work hard for three points.
It took a mistake from Wolves goalkeeper Wayne Hennessey before City opened the scoring through Edin Džeko on 52 minutes with Aleksandar Kolarov then doubling their advantage in the 67th minute.
Wolves pulled a goal back from the penalty spot through Stephen Hunt after Vincent Kompany saw red for hauling down Kevin Doyle, but City made sure of the points in injury time courtesy of an exquisite finish from Adam Johnson from 30 yards out.
