Lionel Messi scored once in each half as Barcelona destroyed BATE Borisov 5-0 in their Champions League Group H meeting at the Dinamo Stadion.
An own goal by BATE midfielder Aleksandr Volodko put Barcelona ahead before Pedro and Messi sent the defending champions into half-time with a 3-0 lead.
Messi blasted in his second of the evening 10 minutes into the second half with David Villa rounding things off in the final minutes as he slotted low into the net.
