Manchester City striker Edin Džeko is delighted to be showing everyone what he is capable of and thanks his manager Roberto Mancini for retaining his faith in him.
Džeko is on a high after scoring six goals in City's opening three league matches of the season.
It has been a far cry from the last campaign when the 25-year-old managed just two Premier League strikes in 15 appearances following his £27 million move from Bundesliga club VfL Wolfsburg.
"Of course, it's been an amazing start for me. Every striker is there to score goals," Džeko told the press.
"I am grateful to the manager, Roberto Mancini, for being patient. I think that is the most important thing, for the coach and players around you to believe in you.
"At the beginning in England, it was hard for me. But I wanted a good pre-season and now I know the Premier League much better. I feel much stronger and better than last year.
"Thinking about the Golden Boot is too far ahead. I don't think about that. I think every striker's dream is that but it's not the priority for me."
Džeko is the proud owner of his first matchball having forgotten to make the claim after netting a treble in a match for Wolfsburg in the Bundesliga.
He added: "I got the ball signed and I will send it home to Bosnia with my other things.
"This will be my first matchball. I scored a hat-trick before but I did not take the ball. I do not know why!"
