AC Milan striker Robinho says he has always regretted how he left Real Madrid on the final day of the summer 2008 transfer window.
The Brazil international departed Spain for Premier League side Manchester City for £32.5 million after a tug of war with then Real president Ramón Calderón.
And Robinho has now admitted that his departure from Los Merengues was not the best for the way it was done.
He told Brazilian newspaper Folha: "I have two regrets in my career: how I left Real Madrid and how I left Santos. I don't regret that I left but the way everything was.
"At Santos, things could have taken a different course but not in Madrid.
"But it is all over now. Everything serves to add to your experience."
