Bayern Munich unhappy with anti-Neuer fans

Bayern Munich have criticised a section of the club's supporters who abused new goalkeeper Manuel Neuer as he made his debut for the German club on Wednesday.
Germany goalkeeper Neuer made the switch to the Allianz Arena last month, but his arrival was not universally welcomed given he is a die-hard Schalke 04 fan, having supported them and joined them as a boy.
But when the 25-year-old made his first appearance in a Bayern shirt on Wednesday in a low-key pre-season game against a local Italian side, he was greeted by a banner that read: "You can save as many balls as you want, but we will never accept you in our jersey."
Bayern have now issued a statement saying the fans responsible are no longer welcome at the club.
"Last Saturday round-table talks between Bayern chiefs and a group of fans' representatives took place," read a club statement.
"As a result of these round-table talks various agreements were reached between the parties, including that Manuel be seen in the future by all fans' groups and attending representatives of the ultras as a member of the Bayern Munich team, that he will be treated with respect and will not be subjected to insults.
"At Wednesday's game between regional side Trentino and Bayern a small group from the ultra-scene broke this agreement.
"Bayern Munich distanced themselves from both the banner displayed against Manuel Neuer as well as those who were part of this small group. We also wish to make it known that this was a very small group which is not registered with Bayern.
"Due to the events in Arco (Trentino), the people in this group are now persona non grata with Bayern Munich."

Bayern officials met with a cross-section of fans last Saturday and it was agreed that supporters would get behind Neuer to help him settle in Munich.
