Costa Rica soccer player killed in car accident

Costa Rica defender Dennis Marshall was killed in a road accident on Thursday - five days after scoring at the CONCACAF Gold Cup.
Just five days ago, the 25-year-old Marshall scored his first goal for his country en route to a penalty shootout loss against Honduras in the CONCACAF Gold Cup.
The AaB Aalborg playerdied along with his wife when his car collided head-on with a truck on a mountain road in eastern Costa Rican capital San José while they were travelling from his grandfather's funeral.
National team coach Ricardo La Volpe told reporters: "It's a tough blow. He was a young guy with a big future and I send my most heartfelt condolences to his family."

"It's incredible, I can't believe it... You never know what's going to happen to you tomorrow, but that's life," his agent Jorge Ulloa told a local radio station.
