Disgraced goalkeeper Jorge Villalpando could on his way out of Jaguares after attacking his own coach during a Copa Libertadores match against Atletico Junior on Thursday night.
Colombian side Junior were gifted the lead in the 35th minute when Villalpando misjudged a bouncing ball and Juan Valencia smashed into the empty net.
The calamity sparked uproar on the Jaguares bench and coach José Guadalupe Cruz immediately subbed on a new goalkeeper, a move that triggered an angry reaction from Villalpando.
Instead of taking a spot on the bench, the 26-year-old went straight over to his coach, pushed Cruz in the chest before shouting at him as he was led away by several staff members.
But the drama wasn't done, and Edgar Andrade struck for Jaguares in stoppage-time to make it 3-3 in the match and 4-4 on aggregate, sending the Mexican team through to the quarter-finals on the away goals rule.
