30,000 Genoa supporters on Sunday staged a mock funeral to celebrate Sampdoria's recent "passing" into Serie B.

Not content to let Sampdoria fans wallow away in quiet sorrow, Genoa fans held a five-minute moment of silence during their last game against Cesena to "mourn" the passing of their neighbours.
Afterwards 30,000 people poured into the streets to hold a huge mock funeral for despised local rivals Sampdoria, parading a coffin draped in blue through the city.
