A footie mad parents have shown their devotion to English club Burnley by naming their new son after 14 members of the first-team squad.
The six-week-old baby, who was born at Airedale Hospital on January 25, is named after the 11 players and three substitutes who appeared for Burnley in the opening game of the season against Nottingham Forest.
The first team players whose name as the child's name are: Brian Jensen, Jay Rodriguez, Graham Alexander, Andre Bikey, Clarke Carlisle, Michael Duff, Wade Elliott, Danny Fox, Chris Iwelumo, Dean Marney, Tyrone Mears, Martin Paterson, Steven Thompson and Ross Wallace.
He was given the name Jay, rather than Rodriguez, so he could be nicknamed JJ by his parents.
Dad Stephen, 41, told Burnley Express: "We didn’t think it would fit on, but it did. Our family didn't believe us at the start, they thought we were nuts.
"We did it because we went with a theme with the other three who are called Sally, Sophie and Stephen so this last one we decided to go a bit different.
"My wife wanted to call him Jensen, but if we were going to call him Jensen we thought we would go with the whole team that played against Nottingham Forest on the first game of the season where we won 1-0."
The irony is the family's surname, Preston, is the name of the Lancashire side's arch rivals.
Mum Amanda, 40, added: "It's a bit unfortunate that Preston is his surname, but what can you do?"
