Levski Sofia defender Ivo Ivanov has scored the fastest own goal ever in European competition by putting the ball into his own net 14 seconds after coming on as a substitute.
Ivanov was introduced as an 87th minute substitute during their Europa League game against Lille presumably in the hope that he could shore up the defence to secure a 2-1 victory.
After the match, Ivanov told Reuters: "This is the worst moment of my life.
"I still don't have any explanation. I just wanted to clear the ball but I connected awkwardly with my head and it went in. It was so painful to see."
