Table of Contents
Arsenal climbed up to second in the Premier League table as they clinched a 4-2 success at Aston Villa.
Like they did last week against Tottenham Hotspur, Arsenal found themselves 2-0 up at the break courtesy of goals from Andrei Arshavin and Samir Nasri.
The hosts were back in the game on 52 minutes as Ciaran Clark volleyed home, but Arsenal soon restored their two-goal advantage when Marouane Chamakh poked the ball home.
Clark then made for a nervous finish with his second goal on 70 minutes, but Arsenal settled the nerves with a fourth in stoppage-time as Jack Wilshere scored his first league goal for the Gunners.
